Christmas Jammies

I love getting a new pair of jammies for Christmas, oh heck i love jammies all year round! If I am at home I am in my jammies, or at least in my jammie pants I only get dressed to leave the house, for me comfort is everything......LOL!! Funny thing is Jason and the kids are the same way.....LMBO!! Stephanie comes home from school and puts her jammies on right away and when I met Jason he didn't even own jammies now he has quite a few pairs......LMBO!!

Anyhoo I made this card for today's limited supply challenge the challenge was to miniature stamps, along with a sentiment, flourishes (optional), one embellishment kind, 2 tools, and limited layers. So this is what I came up with a criss cross card when I began to assemble it, it reminded me of Christmas jammies so I just went with it.

Thank you so much for sharing some of your Christmas traditions with us!! I will share a few of ours with you. On the first snowfall of every year and around here that is late November early December we have popcorn and hot chocolate I started this with the girls when they were little and they love this tradition! One other one is we all get new jammies on Christmas eve last year we didn't even get dressed on christmas we all had a jammie day.

The girls also like to make cookies on Christmas eve for Santa they had a blast doing this last year! We always make time to tour the town for Christmas lights, and we really like the church walk our town puts on, all the churches get together and decide a theme and we travel from church to church with candles, when you get to the churches you sings some Christmas songs, some have a little skit for you others have wonderful stories to share and at the last church there is soup, hot chocolate, buns, and goodies for everyone. It is really nice!

Dont forget to enter for myblog chocolate I will be drawing later this evening!!

Supplies: Rubber stamp tapestry (hearts), House mouse (sentiment), Real red, old olive, river rock, dashing DP, real red and black ink, Round tab punch, buttons, corner rounder punch, and a dimensional.

The Poinsettias and sentiment are from Rubber Stamp Tapestry , Holiday Plate 1 and Word Plate 1 I also used Versa Color Burgundy and Encore Gold inks that can be found here Inks. I used to Burgundy stickles to highlight the petal on the poinsettias it is so pretty and sparkly!

Let It Snow...........

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go
,Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I love Christmas songs!! I made this card for today's limited supply challenge, the challenge was to make some sensational snowflake cards. Use mostly neutral colors: choose from shades of brown, shades of gray, or black & white. Then add just a teeny tiny bit of color with ink, watercolors, and/or embellishments. Well I normally don't play this challenge as i like my supplies anything but limited......ROTF!!!

So this is what I came up with, I'm not too sure about it yet but as the day goes on it will probably grow on me more. We finally brought all out Christmas trees upstairs yes I said trees we have 6 full size trees!!! I can't wait to get them decorated this weekend, each one has it's own theme. I Love Christmas!!! I will try to post pictures when they are done. It appears my ex husband had invited himself and his girlfriend over for Christmas day now that they live in the area....Oh such big fun can't hardly wait................can you hear the sarcasm!!! All I can say is I have the best hubby in the world to welcome and accept this idea he is so much more tolerable then me......LOL!! I will just keep repeating I love my kids and this is for them!!! Who knows with my Dad's passing this summer and having no family in the area maybe it will tirn out to be a blessing. I miss my Dad so much!!

What a lucky kitty who wouldn't want to have a pile of yummy treats!! I got this set from All That Scraps in the mail yesterday I think she is the sweetest!

The gumdrops are covered with Doodlebug's Sugar coated glitter also found at All That Scraps makes the candies almost appear real, so yummy! The chocolates are covered with clear embossing powder just to give them a slight sheen. And of course I used the dashing DP again.......LOL!

Pretty Flakes and Big News

Ever have one of those cards where everything went wrong............well meet mine! End result i love it the process no so much!! First off choosing colors originally I wanted to use soft sky instead of river rock but none of the DP seemed to work for me, then I was going to use the Dashing DP but couldn't get a feel for today. So That's how I ended up with these colors.

I can't tell you how many shapes I punched before I decided on these ones, I had to reposition so many times the glue would slide a bit and set everything off center augggggg....... OK then I couldn't find anything on my desk shhhh. don't ask it is so messy!!

I finally manged to scrap this together with just a thread of sanity.......LOL! The sketch is from Beate's weekend sketch and the other challenge I took was Sharron's Quick Measures .

Do You Believe?

Do you believe in Santa Claus? I do, or at least I do believe in the magic of Christmas. I love watching adults transform into kids again at the mere sight of a Christmas tree with a train running around it, or how people get a sparkle in their eye when they see Santa at the mall, evoking happy memories of Christmas's past. We go all out decorating our house for the holidays, we have 6 full size trees!! A huge village and tons of other holiday decor my favorite has to be our 5' dancing Santa, I love watching the kids hold his hands and dance with him.

We are so lucky both our girls still believe in Santa Claus I thought by now Steph our 12 1/2 year old would have out grown Santa, but I am so happy she hasn't I hope she believes forever! Megan just loves Santa too!

Hot Chocolate Card and Mini Tutorial

I love giving away hot chocolate during the holiday season and normally I made a pocket card and slide the hot chocolate into the pouch, but I wanted to make one this year that was more like a card, so this is what I have come up. Such a simple design and it works perfectly! I chose my colors based one the hot chocolate packet colors, but I think I will go back and do one in more traditional colors. I used brilliance cloud white ink on the cuttlebugged layer just to bring the snowflakes to life........LOL!

I am giving you a view of the inside and of the side with the tie, before I send it off I will cover the inside with another layer to hide the brads and use my printer to add the saying ** To my special friend so dear, wishing you a cup of holiday cheer**

Supplies: Gina K skinny snowman, Verve Visual Winter Wishes, Bayou blue, Not Quite navy, River Rock, WW card stock, Versa magic Black, Brilliance cloud white, copics, liquid applique, ribbon, brads, ticket corner punch, dimensionals, snowflake, cuttlebug, and stickles.

Start with card stock sized at 6 inches by 10 1/2 inches score at 3 1/2 and 7 put end piece in cutter corner to corner and cut to create pocket use sticky strip to secure the bottom.
