Please Read........

I made this card for today's way to use it challenge the challenge was to use music to create your card. I used the song Wild thing as my muse.

I just love this little lion he is adorable!

Now onto something I need your help with.

My daughter Stephanie's best friend "K" is in need of some RAK's........Please.

"K" is 12 years old and had been Stephanie's friend since kindergarten. "K"had surgery to remove her large intestine and colon yesterday. She will now have a bag attached to her small intestine that comes through a port in her stomach, to remove waste from her body.

She will be out of school for the rest of the year recovering, she will remain in hospital for about 10 days if all goes well and no infection arises. Her family had to travel a long distance to have this surgery done as we don't have a children's hospital in area. I thought it would be nice to shower her with well wishes when she gets home.

I would love to have your help to do this, if you would like to send her a card you can email me at kellyshadow@yahoo.com and I will give you the info. Please keep "K" and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Supplies: CC designs, love ya much, verve visual, wild thing, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, wild wasabi and white cs, mellow dp, black ink, copics, ribbon, brads.

Happiness Is A Butterfly

I haven't used this set in forever, I love the butterfly from this set.

The layout is from today's sketch challenge, I loved today's sketch actually it is one I have used a few times before.

Thank you so much for all your care and concern regarding my acid reflux, I am on medication for it called Pariet. I used to have Nexium which I loved, but after I had my Gallbladder out my acid reflux went away, that is until October of last year. I asked for Nexium again but was told, they had changed the way they do prescriptions first I have to try the lower class drugs and then when they don't work, which they are not, I can move my way up to Nexium. Sounds ridiculous doesn't, got to love the medical system here in BC!!

Now onto something funny.......ROTFLMBO!!!! This weekend Jason was shaving his head and the attachment for the razor fell of and look what happened......LOL!! I laughed so hard.....poor guy!! So for the next week or so he will be wearing a hat until it goes long enough to cut the rest of the hair to match!

Supplies: Butterfly of happiness, river rock, always artichoke, groovy guava and white cs, secret garden scrappin kit, groovy guava ink, ribbon, brads, stickles

To The Moon And Back Again.....

To infinity and beyond forever and ever. What a beautiful sentiment. The image and sentiment are from Papertrey, I love this set!

The colors are from today's color challenge, they are so elegant, and there are so many gorgeous cards in the gallery today with these colors.

The sentiment reminds me of the saying we had attached to our wedding favors...... Infinity Times Pie (3.14, not the edible kind). When I ask Jason how much he loved me he would say Infinity, and jokingly I would say is that it??? So he added the times pie because it was the largest number he could come up with. So no that is how we say love each other I love you Infinity Times Pie Ever More. The ever more came from Stephanie when she was little ever more to her meant that's final.......like I don't like cleaning my room ever more.....too funny!!

Well I met with my new Dr. yesterday and he is fabulous!!! I am so excited to finally have someone who actually listened and had answers for my questions. For years now I have had severe acid reflux, so severe it causes massive chest pain across the top of my chest that radiates into my back, very painful, I almost always think I am having a heart attack.

In October I ended up in the emergency room, because the pain was so intense, I thought for sure it was a heart attack, nope just massive acid reflux, so my last Dr. never explained why it was so painful. He would just say it's acid reflux end of story. So I asked my new Dr. why it was so painful and he said it's cause the esophagus and the heart share the same nerve endings so the pain is very similar to one another. Just that explanation makes me feel so much more at ease about these attacks.

I think I am going to like this new Dr.!!

Supplies: Papertrey, Out on a limb, river rock, black and white cs, river rock and black ink, brads, ribbon, cuttlebug, bling, liquid pearls.

New Body!!

My best friend from childhood, we have been friends for over 20 years!!! Anyhoo she recently lost over 80lbs!!! Whoohoo!!!!! She is going to get a tummy tuck and have her breasts lifted and augmented in May so I made her this card just to let her know how proud I am of her and how excited I am for her!! I hope to be in her place by this time next year!

The bra was created by cutting the heart from Flourishes Lace Heart set in half and layering on piece over the other, I really like how it turned out!! If you would like the template you can find it under tutorials on the side bar.

Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes for Stephanie, she was so thrilled to have so many people wish her a happy birthday!!

Well I will keep this short today as I have a TON of housework for the big sleepover!!

I am picking up Stephanie from school at lunch so we can have a birthday lunch date, and then a little birthday shopping, she wants some clothes so she has to be there for that.......LOL!! Saturday she will have a few friends over for a Spa Sleepover.......she is so excited....me I'm not looking forward to a sleepless night, those girls laugh all night long.........ROTF!!

Here is a slide show I made for Stephanie I like to do one every year for them, just to remind them of how much they have have grown and how much we love them! Happy Birthday

Tomorrow is my daughter Stephanie's 13th birthday!!! I never thought I would have a teenager!! I can't believe it was 13 years ago tomorrow that she was born, how time flies!

Steph is horse crazy, me not so much......but her she wants horse everything!! She spends hours drawing horses, looking through books and pictures on the internet of horses, so it only seemed fit to make her a horse birthday card.

First I tired using a more realistic horse image but it looked funny to me so, I decided to go with the horse from my Favorite things, Punny Farm set. I hope she likes it!!!

Jason and I had a super day together yesterday, and we even managed to sneak away for a quiet lunch at our favorite restaurant Boston Pizza. I am finally on the mend my cough is still lingering but is not as intense as it was, I am also happy to report that the granuloma on my lung has not changed so I will have another xray in 3 months to be sure it still hasn't changed, I guess we will continue this course until there is a change or indefinitely if there is no change. Better to be safe then sorry!!

Well I better get busy I have a birthday slide show to prepare for Steph's birthday tomorrow, not to mention I have to get a hold of the radio station so they will announce her birthday on the radio tomorrow morning, she loves that!

Supplies: My Favorite things, Punny Farm, bashful blue, certainly celery, and PTI white card stock, dp, black ink, gel pen, copics, prima flowers, brads, ribbon, cuttlebug, corner rounder punch.

I decided to step way out of my element today and work with some super bright colors! Normally I like the more pastel colors of spring, but for some reason I was drawn to the DP.

Such a cute little chickie and she laid a fabulous egg......LOL! Can you believe that I have had this ribbon for 2 years and this is the first time I have used it! Well I will keep it short today as Jason is home today and we have a ton of things to do.

Supplies: Inkadinkado stamp, house mouse stamp (sentiment), gable green, tempting turquoise, PTI white card stock, sandy lion dp, black ink, copics, bling, ticket corner punch, and ribbon.

Just Chicken Up On You

"Just Chicken Up On You" too funny......LOL!! I love that sentiment!!!

Happy Friday!!! I have been waiting for this all week, I get to finally sleep in tomorrow!! Maybe then I will get better! I love the weekend, we have been watching all the previous seasons of LOST online, and we are half way through season 3 so this weekend we should be caught up!! I don't know why I never watched lost before????

Cause I LOVE LOST!!! I am now addicted!!

Anyhoo back to the card, I used Sharon's weekend challenge to make this card this week it just happened to be a sketch, I love this sketch it is perfect for quick cards! I finally got to use my chicken wire background (Cornish Heritage Farms) stamp I have had it for 3 years and never used it. Shame on me.......LOL!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, we just spent the evening at home watching lost of course!! We don't usually go out for occasions, I find it hard to leave Megan with a sitter ( I have trust issues) so we just celebrate at home. When my mom lived in town she would watch the girls, my dad would watch them too but with his passing we don't have any family in town anymore so home we stay. Every once in a while Jason will take the day off and we will have a lunch date while the girls are in school. I love our lunch dates, I think it may be time to have another one soon ***hint, hint*** Jason!

Supplies: MFT, Punny Farm, Chicken wire BG, real red, yoyo yellow, PTI white, CM gingham dp, black ink, copics, brads, ribbon, ticket corner punch.

Today's way to use it challenge was to use fashion as our inspiration so i decided to make hubby's Valentine a pair of boxer shorts! The inside reads " I can't wait to get in your shorts" too funny, i know i am such a dirty girl......LOL!

Here are the Valentine's I made for the girls they also get a box of chocolates (not shown) I made their Valentine's they same other then the dp only because I didn't feel like listening to "she got the _____ you love her more then me" yep that's my oldest.......LOL!! We gave her the native name "grass is always greener" to funny!! Our youngest we called "likes to eat foam" I will fill you in on that story at a later date.

My Heart Is Yours

I made this card for today's sketch challenge, I love the sketch, just not sure about what I did with it. It seems this cold has left me foggy brained........LOL! Oh well it will just have to do.

Thank You so MUCH for all your well wishes, and suggestions about the vapo rub, if I can muster up enough energy I will try to get to the drug store to give it a try, as I spent the better part of the night coughing again, it seems to be moving deeper into the chest, and I STILL have a fever!!

I am so behind on my Valentine's Day projects for my family, I hope to get them done before the end of the day. I also NEED to get Steph's birthday party invitations done soon, we decided to have a Salon Sleepover, pizza, movie, and make overs sounds like they will have a lot of fun!

Happy Hump Day!!

Best Wishes

I made this card using one of Flourishes new background stamps this one is called Damask, and the sentiment is from a newly released set of sentiments called Many Sentiments. I love this background stamp it is so pretty there is also a reversed Damask background that I will be showing you a little later.

I kept it simple as I am still not feeling well, I can't believe that after 5 days the fever still hasn't broken. I coughed so hard all night that I woke up with a pounding headache this morning......yuck.....not a nice way to start the day. The only plus is the daycare kiddie, also the one who gave this to me, is sick too so she is not as energetic as she usually is. She had a super long nap yesterday which is nice cause I can nap then too.

Thank you so much for all your well wishes!! Wishing you all a super Tuesday!!

Hugs and Kisses

I couldn't let Valentine's Day pass without making an acetate (window sheet, transparency) 2,4,6,8 box......LOL! You know how much I love making them! I made this one for the MY Favorite Things Guest Designer challenge, the challenge was to make a container that holds candy.

I filled it with Heshey's hugs and kisses along with some chocolate lips.....they are so cute!! If you are interested in the directions for these boxes you can find them hereAcetate 2,4,6,8 box, I also have it posted under tutorials on the side bar.

I seem to be coming down with the flu today, I have a fever, stuffy, very sore chest, chills, body ache.........yadayada. I hate being sick especially hate it when it settles in the chest such as this one seem to be doing. Being up most of the night probably didn't help either, apparently both dogs had the stomach flu last night, so we made multiple trips outside, and a few clean up too......yuck! They are indoor dogs so I am aware of things that the can eat, and all they had yesterday was dog food, so I am assuming it must have been some kind of flu for them??? They seem back to normal this morning yay!!

!!!BIG BIG SALE at Treehouse Stamps they are making room for all the new sets that are coming out in a few weeks so it is 50% off the two winter sets!!! Don't miss out on this awesome savings!

Supplies: Verve visual heart to heart stamps, pretty in pink, white card stock, unknown DP, Acetate, Rose red ink, prima flowers, brads, ribbon, tag punch.

Kiss Me........

Aww look at the little froggie is is just waiting for a kiss so he can turn into a prince.......LOL! How many frogs did you have to kiss before you found your prince?? I had to kiss a few.....blech..... but I finally found my prince, so no more frogs for me.........ROTF!!!! Ok so maybe it is only funny to me, I do tend to amuse myself while others stare blankly at me with that is she crazy eyebrow thingy........LOL!! Guess that's what happens when you march to a beat of a different drum.

Well that enough of my crazies for one day......LMBO!! Today's way to use challengte was to use polka dots, I {LOVE }polka dots, I always have!!! When I was little my mom hated pink, and polka dots but being a girly girl I LOVED them! So my grandma bought me the sweetest pink with white polka dots, Shirley Temple style dress, you know the kind that when you twirled they would fly up I loved my dress, my mom hated it, however that may have been because I wouldn't stop spinning, and kept exposing my panties to the world *blushing* Oh to be that oblivious and innocent again. My poor mom, I just thought she was a big meanie, but she was probably just watching out for me. Of course now that I am a mom of two girls I TOTALLY understand......LOL!

This is me then, I couldn't find one where I was wearing the dress.

Anyhoo, back to the card like I was saying today's way to use it challenge was to use polka dots, so I broke out my Elzybell's stamps and went to work, this is what I came up with, isn't she just the sweetest!!

Suppliers: Elzybell's stamps, certainly celery, and white card stock, old olive prints dp, black ink, copics, ribbon, rub on, and nestibilities.

Just Mucking About

Ever have one of the cards that just didn't want to be put together?? Well meet mine! I originally had 3 pigs but it ended up being to large, so I took it apart and cut it down in size....... actually all the layers have been cut down or altered in some way from their original form. Who was it who said measure twice cut once........LOL!! Advice I should have used today.

Anyhoo, I used the sketch from today's sketch challenge for this card, I was so excited to finally be able to use this piggie ribbon that I picked up from Michael's last year. The images and sentiments are from My Favorite Things Punny Farm set. Such a cute little pig isn't he!

Supplies: My Favorite Things, Punny Farm, pretty in pink, close to cocoa, bashful blue, and white card stock, black ink, copics, ribbon, stickles cuttlebug and brads.
