Oh no...somebody already posted my recipe for chocolate cake (well, not mine...but the one I make almost everytime I need a dessert for company)! Hmm...that shouldn't stop me. My husband liked the fudge I made for him this year which was right out of the Kraft What's Cooking magazine: http://www.kraftcanada.com/EN/Recipes/RecipeTemplate?recipe_id=97924
In fact, such I am such a good wife, I will make it for him today!

TFS this awesome giveaway. My favorite chocolate treat is Terry's dark chocolate orange and my favorite recipe is old fashioned chocolate chip oatmeals cookies, a recipe from my great grandmother :)
Great blog.
My favourite chocolate recipe has to come from the Death by Chocolate cookbook by Marcel Desaulniers. Also any recipe from the book. I have adapted a few of them buy one of the layered cakes with a nut or mousse filling and then covered in ganache is to die for.
My favorite is to dip fruit in chocolate. You get the benefit of the fruit and it cancels out the chocolate. lol rofl
My favorite chocolate craving currently is the carmel chocolate kisses by Hersey - so yum yum while you are stamping and no messy fingers LOL
Your Blog Candy looks awesome.
I am a real Chocolate Addict so it is hard to choose just one favorite.
I would have to say Death by Chocolate cake. This is what my husband and I shared during our 1st date.
Your blog candy looks absolutely FABULOUS!! My all-time favorite chocolate is still chocolate covered strawberries. You can go to SAM'S Club and buy enormous strawberries right now. Bring them home, wash them up. All you need to do is purchase Choco-Dip. You throw it in the microwave for about 1 minute. Dip your strawberries in them and set them on wax paper until set. You have such a suculent desert for your and your husband or significant other to share. Or you can keep them all to yourself. There is nothing better than the taste of chocoloate with sweet strawberries!! YUM YUM YUM
I love Almond Rocca... or anything chocolatey for that fact. Baskin Robbins makes chocolate mousse royale ice cream. YUM... Janet :)
OMG! that's easy...I love Lindt chocolate and another type of Belgium chocolate. Who doesn't like chocolate?? :)

Hi Kelly! What a great giveaway. I don't bake, so I would have to say my favorite "Chocolate Treat" is warm chocolate chip cookies or brownies right out of the oven with a glass of milk....YUM!!!! Hope you have a great weekend.
My favourite easiest recipe is Tiger Butter. I'm more a white choc. fan.
It's super easy, melt 1 lb. wh. choc. mix with about 1 cup pb. spread on a wax paper. Melt a couple ounces dr. choc. and drizzle and swirl on the white, making it look all stripy. Cool. Break into pieces, eating small, ugly pieces while you do it. Freezes well too, if there is any left. Did I mention I do it in the microwave?
My favorite chocolate recipe would be my mom's chocolate Texas sheet cake. It is made with buttermilk in a jellyroll pan. Soooo good! Especially with milk!
Gail
I make the bestest of best Bailey's Irish Cream fudge. It has a total of 3 bags of chips - 2 milk chocolate and one semi sweet. It is sooooo yummy.

Wow!! Your blog candy looks awesome!!
One of my favorites is this one:
White Chocolate Mix
*Golden Grahams Cereal
*Cranraisins
*Any mixure of nuts - I like to use the no name trail mix(peanuts, pine nuts, cashews, raisins, ets) from Superstore as it does not have any salt in it, but you can use whatever mixture you like
*White Chocolate - again I like to use the bulk chunks from Superstore as it is pretty cheap
*mix the first three together...melt the chocolate in the microwave and pour it over the mixture...mix it all together until it is covered completely...place it onto a baking sheet and place it into the freezer to let it set...crumble and put into a serving dish or place it into a freezer safe container and save it for a later date(ya right!!)
***Warning: it is highly addictive***
My Oh My! Just reading these comments makes me want some CHOCOLATE!!!!!!
One of my favorite recipes is so easy:
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
1 box Chocolate cake mix (with pudding or extra moist)
1 egg
2 C. Cool Whip
Powdered Sugar
Preheat oven to 350. Mix cake mix, egg & Cool Whip. Spray the palm of your hand with Pam Cooking Spray. Take a heaping teaspoon of dough, place in your hand & roll into a ball; then roll in powdered sugar. Place on cookie sheet sprayed with Pam & bake 8-10 minutes. The bottom should be lightly browned & the cookie still soft. When cool they will be chewy. (A good recipe for kids to make!)
Wow...love your blog and I love chocolate...all kinds of chocolate but one of my favorites is chocolate covered pretzels. Keep up the beautiful work!!! TFS
Cindy Coffman

I am watching my weight, so I have been having the new Hershey's sticks. I love the mint one and they are only 60 calories each. They come in a pack of 9, so they last a long time.

Lois H
Ohhhhh, chocolate, yes, my favorite food group :) My favorite chocolate bar has to be a Wunderbar . . . or a Crunchie bar . . . or, heck, I pretty much like them all hummmmmm . . .
Cathy A.
It would be hard to only pick one favorite. I haven't tasted anything with chocolate in it that I have not liked. Here is a special brownie recipe that is soooo good you will be making batch after batch for family and friends.
The secret is in the hammer action BG!!
Nettie's Best Brownie Ever Recipe
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup cocoa unsweetened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1- 8 oz . semi-sweet chocolate (coarsely ground)*
1 cup nuts optional
Heat oven to 350...butter a 9x13 pan. In med saucepan over low heat, melt sugar and butter. Add vanilla and eggs, Blend well. Mix dry ingredients together...slowly add to above mixing well after each addition.Add chocolate mix till just melted. Pour into prepared pan bake for 30 to 40 min or until set. cool pop out of tray and cut
I place squares in a ziploc making sure they lie flat...and on flat surface pound with a hammer.careful to make sure to keep hammer flat so it doesn't puncture bag
Also, its best to use a throw away pan, chill them in the freezer for a bit ,pop them out and cut them.
kelly,
i just found your blog!! you've left several comments on mine--thanks! wow--my favorite chocolate treat? what could be harder to choose? i can't eat a lot of chocolate because i can "overdose" and get a terrible migraine. however, when i just need a "fix", my old standby is a fresh piece of plain old duncan hines box devil's food cake with chocolate icing! you are making me think i need to make one right now!!

This was a receipe my grandmother used, most of you have probably got a rececipe similar to this but if not try this it's SOOOOOOOO GOOD.
I've actually got 2 favourite chocolate recipes. The first one is easy-peasy!
Chocalote Bark
Melt a bag of chocolate chipits.
Add some stuff to it - like crushed up candy cane or walnuts or pecans.
Then pour it onto wax paper lined cookie sheet.
Put it in the fridge to cool and then break it up and eat it!
The second one is a little more work but it's a CROWD pleaser - great for family picnics or soccer and baseball wrap up parties.
Texas Sheet Cake
Sift:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Bring to a boil, then add cocoa:
1 cup water
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp Fry's cocoa powder
Beat in small bowl:
2 eggs
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp vanilla

4 tbsp Fry's cocoa (I use a little more)
Boil the butter and milk, then add cocoa. Remove from heat and add the rest. Pour over cake. ENJOY!
Kelly I just noticed that you are in BC. I am too and recently heard of a Belgian chocolatier in Abbotsford named Wim Tas. You really should check out his website http://chocolatas.com/
He's got a ladies shoe made out of chocolate for Valentine's!
Apparently it is REAL HIGH GRADE chocolate made without preservatives. He's very picky about where he sells it since it needs to be kept in a chocolate COOLER or it will spoil (do you have a chocolate cooler in your home?). The only retail place that sells it is Family Gourmet in the Royal Centre downtown.
How about that for chocolate snobbery!
I love your blog! So much inspiration!!
My favorite chocolate recipes are ... my mother's "$100 Chocolate Cake" with my grandmother's "Chocolate Filling" that she developed in ... 1921!!
My next favorite chocolate recipes are .... EVERYTHING ELSE MADE WITH/FOR CHOCOLATE!!!
