Embrace.......

I made this card for today's limited supply challenge, the challenge was to use white and one other color, no neutrals. I chose to work with red I love how vibrant red is against white.

Happy Friday!!! OMW!! I am soooo happy it is Friday!!! It just feels like this week has dragged on and on. I have quite a few cards to make this weekend, so I am glad I spent the week running errands and spring cleaning.

I am so happy that Phoebe our youngest dog is out of heat, the poor thing she would have to wear diapers to bed I will post a picture sometime this weekend.

At first I wanted to breed her then I made the appointment to have her fixed, but she went into heat 2 days before her surgery so I canceled it (the vet said it is more dangerous for them to have the surgery when they are in heat). So now I don't know what I want to do! I know I would have to wait until her third heat cycle to breed her. Does anyone have any dog breeding stories to share?

Supplies: embrace life, real red, white cs, real red, black ink, cuttlebug, copics, brads, liquid pearls, ribbon.

Love your card!!! I have been wanting this set for so long. We had 2 mini-dachshunds. My mom breed them, and had lots of puppies the past 4 years. It is so much fun, but my mom said it is alot of work. Our mommy dog was kinda of wierd, so my mom really had to raise all the puupies. She tought that it was because it was her first, but it did not get any better. She always had a different attitude than the dad and even the puppies, we think it was not a good idea for her to have them. My mom said even with the work, she would do it again with a different girl, but I am sure she will wait a bit tho. I am sure you will have lots of fun with puppies. I know my mom read lots of books before so that she had lots of info, I am sure that will help also :) I hope I helped. There are also pictures of our puppies on my blog. I actually need to put updated ones, they are 10 weeks now and they are a blast!!!

Your red and white card is stunning! My experience with breeding has been with large dogs (Germ Sheps, & horses). True to form breed the finest quality bitch (registered)or mare, that best represents the breed.Disposition is key, as is substance and intelligence. If you are serious about breeding you should find your breed through researched AKC breeders in your area. Go and and spend time with the perpective dogs available for stud. It is demanding when they are young, and should be placed/sold by 8-12 weeks at the latest. If this is overwheming, hang in there one more heat and have her spayed shortly thereafter vet says okay. That is my opinion on the topic! Whoof! Deb
